Adam vs The Man: Canceled!

8/27 Update: Adam Kokesh: FEC Complaint “Not a Factor”

What a shame. I really wanted Adam to continue doing his show. I thought he was doing a great job. Update: RT forced Adam to resign because he asked his viewers while on the air to donate to Ron Paul’s campaign it can be inferred that he might appreciate his viewers donating to Ron Paul’s 2012 campaign. This apparently might violate Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules. Apparently Russia Today (RT – the broadcaster of his show) is in trouble with the FEC and Ron Paul could come under fire from the media because RT is a project of the Russian government. The rather ridiculous FEC complaint filed by USASurvival.org (signed by Clifford P. Kincaid) alleges that the Russian government is trying to divide the Republican Party. Apparently the complainer is a conspiracy theorist. And you thought those folks were harmless!

Update: The comments that Kincaid takes exception to can be heard here:

Update: This video of June 4th, 2011 apparently shows Clifford P. Kincaid or someone else associated with USASurvival.org interrogating Adam Kokesh about his RT show.

Update: Freedom’s Phoenix radio host Ernie Hancock has invited Kincaid on to his show to discuss this issue. But he refused.

Retraction: In the first version of this article, I wrote that Adam had asked viewers to donate to Ron Paul. After further research, I disagree with this claim and updated the article to reflect that. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

IANAL, but I would think there’s some kind of loophole that could be exploited seeing that Adam’s show is produced by his own LLC.

Nevertheless, it’s a shame that a bunch of chickenhawk neo-cons try to denounce Adam – a veteran who saw combat – as some sort of Russian agent. Absolutely shameful.

See @ReginaldQuill, there’s a whole gaggle of folks online now determined to prove that anyone who ever so much as appeared on RT is some sort of Kremlin agent/plant. Ironically, this is the same sort of ‘logic’ hardcore Putinists (but not the majority of Russians) apply to the Russian opposition. These people need to be exposed as the neo-McCarthyite and possibly Cointelpro plants that they are. I crap you not that some of these idiots insist that if you don’t support installing the Muslim Brotherhood in Damascus or Bilderberg you are a Putin-loving Kremlin plant.

I watched AVM from Day #1 and did so for a couple weeks, then it just got weird. Constant Ron Paul references and plugs, toward the end I could tune in on any given day and see what ultimately amount to be a Ron Paul infomercial. I was really digging the left-libertarian bent to the show at the start. And I don’t even mind RP getting some air time, but c’mon, really, constant RP talk all the time? Adam squandered this opportunity pushing his agenda. I guess now I’ll just have to watch Reason Magazine’s show, I mean, the Alyona show.

Any good lawyer would point out that he was not making statements of support but rather logical “if-then” statements. This is BS.

I always thought Adam v the Man was excellent online commentary. Hope he stays online!

We’ve also had problems staying on the air with Dr. Rima Reports, having been cancelled by a couple online broadcasters because our show was constantly subject to hacker attack. We’ve decided to use our own feed from now on. Maybe Adam can do the same; I think ustream.tv will be useful in this regard.

Our ustream link is at: http://www.HealthFreedomPortal.org

Honestly…the corporatist swine and their serfs get news programs by the dozens to satisfy their tepid world views, but now I only have Lew Rockwell again. Great…so what partially libertarian program am I going to watch before I go to bed during weekdays now?

Hey, this is not the reason Adam vs the man was cancelled, just a conspiracy theory gone Internet crazy. I covered the very same thing because I was a huge AVTM follower and advertiser. He stated a day or so later on his FB page it had “nothing to do with the FEC..” and the questions kept pouring in from fans, yesterday he stated he wasn’t allowed to talk about it yet but it had to do with “Jesse Benton” so it’s still not clear what really happened, but soon we will have the TRUTH, and hopefully the man of truth himself back on air.
