The only viable solution to the nation’s public infrastructure crisis is privatization. Not bad, but let’s just sell this infrastructure outright instead.
Are candidates for public office qualified? Are they up to speed on the law, pending legislation, top issues facing our nation, economics, political philosophy, parliamentary procedure and other factual knowledge and wisdom one needs to be an effective representative? We should draw up an exam, test our candidates and publish the results.
Bob Barr is Wrong on Social Security
Libertarian candidate for President Bob Barr released a position paper on Social Security the other day that, frankly, is very disappointing. His proposal is a half-measure that fails to allow most people to opt out and suffers from a terrible case of doublethink. We need to end Social Security – in our lifetime – without leaving either senior citizens or working taxpayers in the lurch.

Loudest Voice = Majority Opinion, or how a small group can exert influence greater than its numbers. We in the Liberty movement might benefit from using psychology to make our numbers seem greater than they actually are.

Free for All, the movie details how the GOP stole the 2000 and 2004 elections with media collusion and shows how citizen activism, even on a small scale, can make the difference. Honest elections needs to be a top priority for the Libertarian Party.
