I care about my reputation, first and foremost, because I am an entrepreneur. I don’t want my projects to be hampered by incorrect information about me.
I’m not perfect. Don’t claim to be.
A reputation is what others think of me. It resides in your minds. So I don’t control it. I don’t own it. But you better damned well believe I am going to defend it from libel.
In a stateless society, nothing is guaranteed. If someone trashes your reputation, it can cost you money, friends and more. Even in a state society, reputation is very important.
I have not dedicated years now to being an activist (both outside and inside the liberty community), just for some liar with a chip on his shoulder or a grudge to destroy it.
That’s why I care about it. That’s why I will continue to care about it. And that works to your benefit because it means I have to do right by you. Reputation is worth caring about.
My priority has never been to be part of a clique, to be popular or to be best buddies with everyone. That’s never been who I am. My focus is on that which is right, correct and honorable. That’s it. Everything else happens after that has been taken care of.

You seem like a stand up guy to me and if someone told me differently I’d have a difficult time believing them.
Thanks Matt.
